The World Services for the Blind Foundation is proud to announce that it will honor Arvest Bank’s Jim Cargill with the 19th annual Vision Award on Wednesday, October 30, 2019.

The Vision Award was designed to honor an individual who has demonstrated far-reaching vision to successfully orchestrate events through business enterprise and community involvement to help better our society for all citizens, both with and without sight. This year, the World Services for the Blind Foundation will honor Jim Cargill, president & CEO of Arvest Bank in Central Arkansas.

A fourth-generation banker following in the footsteps of his great-grandfather, R.L. Bradshaw, Cargill has been with Arvest Bank for the past 34 years and is recognized statewide for his expertise and experience in moving Arvest forward into new markets in Arkansas and Oklahoma.

Cargill attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he majored in finance and banking. He also is a graduate of the American Bankers Association Graduate School of Commercial Lending and of The Professional Masters of Banking Program at The Graduate School of Banking, Louisiana State University.

Cargill is a member of the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Executive Committee and the Fifty for the Future Board of Directors. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Arkansas Banker’s Association Board of Directors. He is also a member of the Little Rock Downtown Rotary Club and the LRAFB Community Council. 

His previous community involvement includes the Executive Networking Organization, the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Board, Our House Board, Downtown Little Rock Partnership Committee member, the Single Parent Scholarship Foundation Board member and the UA- Little Rock Foundation Board of Directors.

He and his wife, Kathleen, reside in Little Rock, and have two adult children, Kelly and Ben. 

This year's Vision Award luncheon will be held at the Clinton Presidential Center Great Hall on Wednesday, October 30, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Table sponsorships begin at $2,000, and individual tickets are $200 each.
